How it works
From finding a ride to getting your deposit back, and how to rent out your own vehicle. Everything happens in your booking: it shows what's next at each step.
Renting, step by step
Find your ride
Browse campers, trikes and bikes by type, Hive and dates. Every listing shows the daily price, the deposit and the pickup area up front.
Book and pay
Choose your pickup and return date and time. Booking is instant, with no waiting for the owner. The vehicle is held for you for a few minutes while you pay by card, wallet or PayPal. The confirmation and invoice are under My bookings.
Check in
Check-in opens one hour before your start. Take four photos (front, rear, left, right), note the mileage, fuel or charge and any existing damage. You can do it yourself in your booking, or Hive staff do it with you.
Unlock
With a smart lock, you unlock with your phone over Bluetooth (the vehicle app, it also works offline) or with the keypad PIN shown in your booking. Access only works during your rental. Without a smart lock, you get the keys at the pickup point.
On the road
Need more time? Extend from your booking if the vehicle is free; the extra time is paid up front. If something goes wrong, open Help in your booking to reach the Hive and the owner.
Return
Bring the vehicle back to the pickup point by your end time and do the return check with the same four photos. Your access ends when the return is done.
Deposit back
The deposit is paid with the booking and refunded after the return check, minus the cost of any new damage. You get a notification and the final invoice.
What is a Hive?
Hives are local bases for pickup and returns, help on the road and good company. Many vehicles start and end at a Hive, and the Hive team checks vehicles in and out with you.

Create your listing
Add photos, details, your daily price and the deposit, and upload the vehicle documents. Your ID or passport and driving licence go on your profile once.
We review it
Submit the listing and our team checks it before it goes live. Changing key details later (like photos or documents) sends it back for a quick review.
Get bookings
Renters book instantly for the times you leave open. Handovers can run through your Hive, and a smart lock can be installed so renters unlock with their phone.
Get paid
After each rental, your share (the rental minus the platform commission) shows in your owner area and is paid out to your bank account.

Own a camper, trike or bike? List it and earn while you don't use it, with a Hive behind you.

Yes. Sign up with your email, then book and pay. Your bookings, invoices and messages are all in your account.
Yes, from your booking. The cancellation policy shown before you pay says what is refunded at which time.
After the return check. If there is no new damage, the full deposit is refunded to the payment method you used.
Extend your booking before the end time if the vehicle is free. If you can't, contact the Hive through Help in your booking.
Booking, payment, check-in and return work on the website. To unlock a smart lock over Bluetooth you need the vehicle app; the keypad PIN works without it.
